Daniel Sannier
Born in 1944, contemporary French artist Daniel Sannier still lives and works in his home town, an ancient city on the bay of the Somme River. Most of the inspirations for his beautiful landscape paintings come from this area in Northern France known as “Picardie.” The orchards in bloom, the quiet side waters of the Somme River covered with Waterlillies and the wide fields of “Colza” – these are his subjects and for that he has become well known throughout Europe as well as here in the United States.Sannier continues to particapate in numerous exhibitions and is a member of the Salon des Artists Independents. In 1981, his success increased when he won the silver-medal at the Association Artistique of the Foundation Lepine in Paris.Sannier continues to hold exhibitons throught Europe and continues to receive prestigious awards for his work. The quiet, peaceful impressionistic paintings of Sannier show us his passion and great love of nature.
